Transformation of the split-barge “Desterro” from Teixeira Duarte – Engenharia e Construções.
“Desterro” will now have dredging capabilities, with the installation of a crane bucket based on a motorized mobile platform entirely built in our shipyard. This platform, in addition to moving throughout the cargo hold, will have the ability to adjust to hull openings that occur during unloading operations.
This transformation, with these particularities, is the first of its kind in Portugal and will be certified by Bureau Veritas.
