On 08.02.2024, we had the honor of welcoming another important Timorese delegation, made up of Their Excellencies the Minister of State Administration (MAE) Dr. Tomás do Rosário Cabral and Ambassador Dr. Isabel Amaral Guterres, accompanied by the Counselor of the Ambassador of East Timor in Portugal, Dr. Madalena Filipe; from the General Directorate of MAE, Ms. Goretti Belo and Mr. Elviro Moniz; the Advisors Mr. Joaquim Cunha and Mr. Abílio Caetano; the Public Relations and Protocol of the Embassy, Ms. Fernanda Tilman D’Arto. Goretti Belo and Mr. Elviro Moniz; the Advisors Mr. Joaquim Cunha and Mr. Abílio Caetano; the Embassy’s Public Relations and Protocol Officer Ms. Fernanda Tilman Dindo; MAE’s Protocol Officer Ms. Meilisa Silva and UNDP East Timor’s Chief Technical Advisor Dr. Bruno de Lencastre.
It was yet another opportunity to explain all the restructuring that this shipyard has undergone recently, the investments that have been made, the various works that are underway, in particular the Haksolok Ferry, which will be undergoing trials and tests very soon. It was also important to hear the testimonies of some of the Timorese workers who are with us and who have made extraordinary progress. At the end we visited the Haksolok Ferry and to everyone’s delight we could see the significant progress of the work and the high quality of construction, equipment and finishes.
